General description

Farnesene (mixture of isomers) may contain sequiterpenes, trans-β-farnesene, cis-α-farnesene, trans-α-farnesene, and bisabolene.[1] α-Farnesene is reported to be an oviposition stimulant for Laspeyresia pomonella[2], while trans-β-farnesene as a feeding stimulant for Lutzomyia longipalpis.[3]
