    CBGA is an precursor acidic cannabinoid for THCA, CBDA, and CBCA via enzymatic reactions. In the presences of heat, CBGA decarboxylates to form CBG; LC analysis of CBGA is highly recommended since this cannabinoid is considered temperature sensitive. Adding CBGA to the list of compounds measured in potency testing allows for a more comprehensive characterization of the cannabinoid content in a given cannabis product.
