    Description

    General description

    Capillary GC column is also known as open tubular column. The carrier gas flows through the central aperture and is unrestricted throughout the length of the column.[1]
    Application: This column is based on one of the most widely used polar phases, Carbowax 20M, and is a polar column suitable for analyses of solvents, fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs), food, flavor and fragrance compounds, alcohols, and aromatics. Additionally, this column is a great choice when a polar general purpose column is required.

    Application

    SUPELCOWAX 10 Capillary GC Column may be used for the analysis of milk fat in order to demonstrate its health benefits using GC method.[1] It may also be used for high-resolution separation of polychlorinated biphenyls by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography.[2]
