    Oleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid mainly found in high quantity in olive oil[1], peanut oil[2], sunflower oil[3] and canola oil.[4]

    Biochem/physiol Actions

    Activates protein kinase C in hepatocytes.

    Uncouples oxidative phosphorylation. Inhibits 2,4-dinitrophenol−stimulated ATPase. Action reversed by adding serum albumin.
