    Olanzapine (CRM) (Item No. 40162) is a certified reference material categorized as a thienodiazepine and an atypical antipsychotic.1 Olanzapine decreases immobility time in the forced swim test in non-stressed and prenatally-stressed rats.2 It prevents acute and chronic phencyclidine-induced deficits in cued reversal learning, as well as decreases the number of avoidances made in the conditioned avoidance response test, in rats.3,4 Olanzapine has been associated with intentional misuse in children and abuse in adolescents.5 Formulations containing olanzapine have been used in the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. This product is intended for analytical forensic applications. This product is also available as a general research tool (Item No. 11937).
