An internal standard suitable for norfentanyl testing of urine, blood, or hair samples or isotope dilution methods by GC/MS or LC/MS in applications such as pain prescription monitoring, clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, or forensic analysis. Norfentanyl is a major urinary metabolite of fentanyl, a potent synthetic analgesic sold under various trade names including Sublimaze, Duragesic®, Actiq®, and Fentora®.
