    Maleic acid is a butenedioic acid having a double bond in cis- (Z)-configuration. It is used in the industrial manufacturing of lubricant additives, unsaturated polyester resins, surface coatings, plasticizers, copolymers, and agricultural chemicals.
    This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food.

    Application

    The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a standard for quantitative 1H-NMR measurements.
