    (±)-Ibuprofen is a non-selective, reversible COX inhibitor and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).1 The IC50 values for human recombinant COX-1 and COX-2 are 2.6 and 1.53 µM, respectively. The Ki value for ovine COX-1 and COX-2 is 9 µM.2 Formulations containing ibuprofen have been widely used in the treatment of inflammation, pain, and fever.
