    Product Description

Haloperidol (CRM) (Item No. 40431) is a certified reference material categorized as a typical antipsychotic.1 Haloperidol inhibits stereotypic behavior induced by apomorphine or amphetamine in rats.2 It also inhibits apomorphine-induced decreases in prepulse inhibition of the acoustic startle response in rats.1 Haloperidol has antinociceptive activity in mice.3 It increases error rates and reduces response rate in pigeons following learned acquisition.4 Formulations containing haloperidol have been used in the treatment of schizophrenia and Tourette syndrome. This product is intended for analytical forensic applications. This product is also available as a general research tool (Item No. 12014).
