Ethanol Extraction Blend is an Ethanol formulation that can be used for botanical extraction with no Federal Excise Tax, no additional record keeping. CD12a is a blended product made with 200 Proof food-grade ethanol that has been denatured 5% Heptane which is a high purity industry-standard solvent. Because the material is “CDA” completely denatured alcohol, TTB regulations relating to sale and use of pure Ethanol do not apply. CDA 12a can be purchased without paying Federal Excise, obtaining a permit, or additional record-keeping requirements.
