Description
Application
Copper turnings are used to synthesize inorganic salts and organometallic complexes[1]and catalysts that can be employed in a variety of synthetic transformations.[2] It is useful in:
• Synthesis of polynitro[60]fullerene.[3]
• Copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne Huisgen cycloaddition (click reaction) to synthesize 5-membered heterocycles.[4][5]
• Trifluoromethylation of heteroaromatic compounds.[6]
• Preparation of electrolyte for all-copper hybrid flow batteries.[7]
