General description
SRM 870 is composed of a blend of five organic compounds in methanol: uracil, toluene, ethyl benzene, quinizarin, and amitriptyline added as amitriptyline hydrochloride. One unit of SRM 870 contains five ampoules, each containing about 1.1 mL of the mixture. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA.

Application
The Standard Reference Material is intended tocharacterize various aspects of liquid chromatographic (LC) column performance, such as efficiency, void volume, methylene selectivity, retentiveness, andactivity toward chelators and organic bases. It can also be used for columnclassification to assist in column selection during method development, as acontrol material for monitoring LC column performance over time, and in qualitycontrol for column manufacturing.
