    General description

    Chlorogenic acid is a bioactive polyphenolic compound mainly found in many plants[1], such as coffee.[4] It is a potent neuroprotectant[2] and also possesses antiviral[1], antifungal[2], antioxidant[4] and antitumor properties.[3] CGA may also be involved in regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and improving insulin sensitivity.[5]
