    Restricted Product (Schedule IV)

Cathine is a natural phenethylamine from the Khat (C. edulis) plant. While biochemically and behaviorally cathinone-like, cathine is substantially less potent than cathinones.1 It blocks dopamine uptake with approximately one-eighth the potency of cathinone.1 Cathine substitutes for (+)-amphetamine as a discriminative stimulus.1 This product is intended for forensic and research applications. It is regulated as a Schedule IV compound in the United States.
