DESCRIPTION
Application
2-Methoxyethanol may be used as a solvent to synthesize:
- [(dF(CF3)ppy)2-Ir-μ-Cl]2 complex, a precursor for synthesizing iridium based photoredox catalysts for use in cross-coupling reactions [dF(CF3)ppy=2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine].
- 3-(2-methoxyethoxy)propene, an intermediate to prepare a water-soluble, non-volatile and odorless tin hydride reagent.
